 ECF Leadership Minimize

Effective leadership is a key ingredient to a vibrant and effective church.  We are blessed to have many qualified and willing leaders at Eastside Christian Fellowship.  In addition to our staff, the following areas of leadership help keep our direction focused and the vision of ECF clear.

1---Elders:  Biblically, the role of these men is to lead the church. They are the shepherds, men who are above reproach in their lives and and are striving to have the qualities that are listed by the apostle Paul in both his letter to Timothy and Titus.  Their main responsiblity is to oversee the spiritual health of the church and the individuals that make us this local body of beleivers. They work closely with the staff to make sure the vision of ECF remains clear and that people are being cared for as Shepherds care for their sheep.

2---Home Group Leaders:  We believe that our small groups are an excellent way to experience authentic community.  Since these groups are the backbone of ECF, the leaders of these groups have a passion for making sure that that solid biblical teaching is the norm and that members are dedicated to caring for one another socially, physically, emotionally and spiritually.  They are dedicated to prayer and seeing that each member of their group is led into a deeper relationship with Christ.

3---Ministry or Team Leaders:  These men and women are empowered by the Elders and staff to lead in their areas of giftedness and calling.  We believe that God is in the business of calling and nudging us to serve in areas of our gifting.  Some are called to lead in these areas of service, which means they are empowering others to work alongside them as they organize, delegate and carry out the functions of that particular ministry.  These leaders are key to the church working together in a team fashion.  They are aware of those serving with them in the various areas of interest and have the desire to empower those working alongside them to use their gifts of ministry effectively.
